Saw this at the theater when I was in high school with a girl I had known since I was a little kid. Ya know, you go to the movies for fun, and sometimes, not often, but every once in a while, you realize about 10-15 minutes into a film you are watching something special. We sure did back then. Haven't seen her but once in the last 25 years, but think of her every time I see this film.

I grew up watching movies with my parents in the 80s and 90s like( ghosts) and( indian summer). but( the big chill) has to be the greatest movie of the 80s by far! great directing and writting by the same person i might add! GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!

Tom Berenger married a waitress after filming this movie in Beaufort. They had a couple of children but, since have divorced. He loves Beaufort, SC. & still lives there.

Love this movie. Really love the Tidalholm house & town of Beaufort, SC where this movie was filmed. I have a vacation home there.
