Jackie had a voice like no other. You could tell he was opera-trained. I love Lonely Teardrops and Night the best. St Therese of the Roses wasn't bad either. Too bad he died so young-Elvis was one of his friends and went to see him in the hospital.

There was a DJ name Lou Father Thimes who you used to play this! Back in the day, this was one of the many songs that stood out to me! When I got to college, I was able to spin this kind of jam on my shows! Just listening and pretty much soaking up all the fades and great music made my shows somethang to reckon with....peace!

My dad was not that crazy about a lot of my rock and roll favorites, but Will Rosenberg from N.J. really dug Jackie Wilson. Being an ex-boxer, Jackie could really display his groovy moods for he was so agile.
To this day,I miss Jackiie Wilson and of course my fantastic dancing father.

First heard this and a lot of his other songs as a kid in the 70's listening to my dad's records. Have loved his music ever since. Absolutely tremendous voice and talent. He was taken far too soon. RIP Jackie and thank you so much for all the wonderful music you left us. Never to be forgotten!

i love it when older folks ask me who my favorite artists are and i say jackie wilson or sam cooke or the isley brothers, they all look at me like i have a third eyeball on my forehead and ask, how old are you again? (proudly) i say im 19. :))) their response? you are too young to know who those people are. so for all of you younger than me? kudos, you have great tatste, and have been taught well. :)
