Actually there's no such thing. A house nigger, lighter skinned is only because his/her ancestor was screwed by a white slave owner. A field nigger, darker skiined usually worked picking cotton. The sun made them darker. However, your sunburn is not a genetic trait. The only reason there are light skinned African-American is because there has been a mixture with a white person some where down the ancestry. Unfortunately this is the ever long lasting affect of the caste system developed and established originally in the Jamestown settlement. This 17th century system still affects the minds of people all around the world. The Spanish Empire played a large role on the globalization of the caste system mindset which predates the caste system established at Jamestown. It is my belief that the onemajor way the black race (or any persons of color) can overcome this is to understand where it came from.
