From Long over Short and Back!

Before I post any videos of haircare related stuff I thought it would be a good idea to show what my hair was like in the past and how much it has changed over the past years of growing.
I was not born with long hair, neither did I care for it in the best way in the past. I was never a total "hair abuser", but hair dye was my biggest addiction, along with brushing and washing to much as well as wearing my hair down a l l the time.
I was also a big fan of fashionable layers, not just a little bit but rather layered all over and used to get really bored with my hair. When it was shorter I usually tried a new cut. When it was growing I luckily did not get the stupid idea to shorten it but I added layers or highlights which can be a pain to get rid off too. Often, I would just maintain at one length because I was not sure if I should grow longer or shorten my hair.
I have never gotten far when it came to growing my hair partly because criticism in the past from people at school or even friends have made me insecure about my hair. People used to tell me I don't have good hair to wear it long and that it would probably not even grow...boy were they wrong ^^..

When I started medieval reenactment I thought it would look much nice if my hair would match my hobby and went a bit longer. But the final change came when my husband got deployed to Iraq. I found a very nice and informative US long hair forum and the women there inspired me to grow longer. I also thought it would be a nice surprise for hubby when he returns from the deployment. He has always liked my long hair.

Wow, ich bin gewillt auch meine Haare wachsen zu lassen...doch ich bin ein soo ungeduldiger Mensch...Meine Haare sind jetzt Kinnlang und ich mogel stets mit clip in extension...das ist aber bei Weitem nicht vergleichbar mit eigenem wehenden wallendem Haar ;( Thumbs up, meinen Respekt hast du ;)

Gosh, what an interesting hair journey you've had, Emi!!! It's a wonderful coincidence that I stumbled upon this new vid - even though I subscribe to your channel and wasn't notified by Youtube [Gah!] . A friend of mine has waistlength dark-brown/black hair. She dyed it black and is now trying to get it back to her original dark brown colour, and without bleaching it, or any other hair dye. You seem to be the right person to ask for advice!!! Do you have any pearls you'd like to share?
