Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (2010) (PC) (Oddworld Inhabitants)

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath has got to be one of the least expected console-to-PC ports ever, but it also ranks among the most welcome surprises on that front. This quirky action adventure was originally released for the first Xbox back in 2005, and after five long years it has finally made it all the way to the personal computer as part of a so-called "Oddboxx" compilation which was released today on Steam and other sites.

The game is a clever and incredibly stylish mix of third-person platforming, stealth, puzzles and first person shooter elements set in an outlandish and humorous Western-like environment which showcases the undeniable artistic creativity of Lorne Lanning and his minions at Oddworld Inhabitants. Apart from the inventive genre amalgam, it's always refreshing to see a game that isn't afraid to stand out aesthetically among the myriad of generic fantasy games and military shooters out there, and it's a real shame that it's gone such a long time since the last of the original Oddworld releases.

As is written in the video description, the "Oddbox" is available for purchase on Steam. Any Xbox 360 patch for OSW is very unlikely to happen at this point.
