"Ethiopia: Feeding the Future (The Seeds of Survival Story)" is a provocative account of the ingenuity of Ethiopian farmers and scientists, working together on an innovative program designed to rebuild Ethiopia's food supply.
Juno award winning folk artist, James Keelaghan, tells the story of how, through USC Canada's Seeds of Survival program, Ethiopia is working to save landrace seeds through traditional, time-tested methods. It is these traditional seeds that hold the secret of success for food-producing nations around the globe.
Featuring breathtaking photography, a glimpse into one of the most ancient civilizations, and explorations into a profound agricultural development, "Ethiopia: Feeding the Future" was produced in 1995 by Roland K. Pirker of Rollframe Productions Limited for USC Canada.
And what we hear about Ethiopia is how desolate and starved it is. its not. Ethiopia is lush green, that is the image that comes to mind to anyone who visited it. Yes its has harsh deserts but those are few compared to the general land mass. Ethiopia feeding the world through its seed preservation, what does the west do, allow corporate jaws make it an intellectual property like they created it.
