I remember listening to the radio in my mom's Dodge Dart in 1981, it was 11:30Pm and I was going to work at a night shift temp job - glamorous:no..but I'll never forget hearing the lyrics 'Oh you've got green eyes, oh you've got gray eyes'..art/music lifted my spirits once again...it was magic.

I was just listening to this version on ym mp3 player which is on the new order singles album, this is by far the best version, the sound is just so real and raw, the other versions are over produced and lack the same charisma

@dara786 Erm... don't quite get your question. This is possibly the earliest version of the song, released as a 7''. There is another one, the 12'' version, and the third version off "Substance '87", which closely resembles the 12'' version (they have the same intro, same beat, same guitar etc.). Hope this helped ya.

for me "New Order" defined that period....'Power, Corruption and Lies' is my most all-time listened to album/CD
