From Avekta's archives comes this video made in 1988 at the Texas Heart Institute for sponsor Warner-Lambert Company, now part of Pfizer. Shown are Denton Cooley, MD, Surgeon-in-Chief; and O. Howard Frazier, MD, Director, Cardiac Transplantation at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston Texas. This was created as a medical education "in service" lecture on the procedure for preparing and implanting a human deceased donor cardiac allograft or "heart translpant." Directed and edited by George Avgerakis; produced by John Lynch.
