In this video we show you how to install a Magnefine power steering filter into a 2001 Lexus GS300 that was having some power steering troubles. After installing this filter, all the troubles went away and the steering is smooth as butter.

  • @mrjost55 are you sure?I have heard the same thing.

  • These filters are a waste of time. Just replace your fluid on a regular basis and the power steering will last forever.

  • hi, is it INLINE 3/8 MAGNETIC POWER STEERING FILTER? thanks

  • hi, i am getting a strange sound from my lexus gs300 when i start the car, this has only recently been happening. Could this be due to cold weather or the pump failing as i suspect its related to the power steering as it feels stiff when turning, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • no duh, dude

  • @LLCoolPass the filter is a magnefine filter, made my magnefine of australia. You can look it up online, it is a very high quality in-line filter with the standard filter media and and additional powerful magnet. This lexus originally did not come with an power steering filter, but we felt that adding one would help extended the life of the components.

  • err cardone, not purolator

  • is the ps filter a premium magentic purolator 20FLT2

    ?

it appears your system not have a filter previous and you simply engineered your own little thing.

in 92 93 es300 has filter from factory. it is 90 bucks. the purolator i think you have is 3 bucks. that is why I ask. I want to change mine [perhaps doing some slight engineering] to the cheaper one in the process. My cooling fan is driven by hydraulic motor -- so the power steering pump does the rack and pinion AND the cooling fan.

  • at least you dont have to take out 5 different parts on this model. my line is bad on my es300 and half the drivers side is in the way

  • waaaww

    Thank you

    Knew how to do well

    Good work

    good luke
