Well I've been busy these past couple of months, and here's what I've got. It's not a spot-on cover at all. And the tone is not like it was in the studio (I don't have a hofner with scotch tape on the pickups and god knows what amp and effects rig). I'm running through the usual of late, which is a Peavey Classic 50 into a Barber trifecta fuzz pedal. I wish I still had that jcm 800 4010, especially for this one. I'll have a voodoo chile video coming soon, and also a cool version of Remember.

  • the tone on this is a about 98% there, just realise how good you really are,14 years old ,im 37 and cant play as good as you.young ones dont know what music is today but you do,you have somthing special, use it

  • glennish1972,

I really appreciate that. I put as much time in practicing in as I can. I do agree there are not many true musicains these days in music. Thanks again, Brandon

  • petsnowflake its so refreshing to hear a kid your age playing hendrix so good and having the tone .witch 95% of the you tube kid guitar players cant comprehend with their shredding and sloppy playing covered up by distortion you my friend have true talent ! thanks from an old school player peace!!!!!

  • catfishanthony,

Thank you. I think the same way. I don't think there are very many talented players anymore. I don't think most people have the ear to understand how complex and brilliant Hendrix really was. They hear that thick fuzz tone and it kind of turns them off. It is a trained ear. Thanks again. Brandon.

  • nice cover man. really good stuff you got going on here. I have a cover of this song on youtube and it really is a difficult song to play

  • I appreciate it man. Keep on with the Jimi.

  • Come and see my pub jam version...

  • commented you before. but anyway, i think this is the best way to describe the mind of a guitarist watching another guitarist. basically, it's like guitar hero; in that i have an expected note of what you should play and how it should sound. and you literally got a perfect score from that. nailed absolutely every bend.

  • how long have you been playing man ? and how old are if you dnt mind me askin dude..

  • sounds good man, i have the same amp for gigging and a cabinet hooked alongside at home for that extra punch....those who chastize you make you a better player....dont rely on the amp distortion alone get a couple giggle boxes to fatten your sound with some chorus and baby that will sound slick....keep on practicing brother....long live jimi

  • You're so good and younger!!!!

    Go on playing man

  • very nice man, im a huge hendrix fan myself and its alot of what i play. U really got the tone down, but u should probably get a backtrack or a metronome, cuz the song is just a bit faster paced than wat you were doin, but still was great. Check out my hendrix vid btw, ud like it

  • He used a Hofner on Redhouse? I didnt know that...
