EverGreen song s.janakiamma ROCKZ...

This is an MSV tune but I doubt Raja's Mohan era (or otherwise) songs were retrofitted to RHYTHM because he composed on melodic and harmonic motives. Mandram Vandha for example is constructed around chord progressions, not rhythms.

with 2 great music directors, the result is not a surprise. great song

This movie was the one and only rare combination of the Maestro and Mellisai Mannar. That's why the songs of the movie are still ringing in the years. Credit goes to Director R. Sundararajan and AVM for such a fantastic music festival. The Sanskrit Sloka 'Bhavana Guru' by Chitra which was later added to the cassette, was again a feat and feast. Kudos.

not all - Kuzhal Oodhum and Sakkarai Kattikku were IR's own tunes and orchestations. Great combination of two legends!
think it's my fave of all the other superb songs from this movie album....damn amala...could have watched your step...

All tunes were composed by MSV and the music orchestration by Raja. This was confirmed by Raja himself. (Vaa Vennila especially is a remake of MSV's 1952 Sandi Rani duet by Bhanumathi, Ghantasala, and was included in this movie as requested by IR himself).
You can see MSV's distinct free flow of the tune as opposed to IR's retrofitted (to the rhythm) tunes (especially during and after Mohan's era).
