  • Alright, now onwards to Sudbury!

  • @TheXenProject: lol, if I could afford to go back, you bet I'd do it.

  • Love you vids dude. Toronto trully has a great highway system. Try and maybe get the highway 400 up to Orillia and merge into Highway 11 North to North Bay. Northern Ontario highways are not busy but I think they should be noticed.

  • @mikejay007: Man, I totally wish, but I was up there in my own vehicle, back in July. Yeah, I actually drove from San Francisco, all the way out to Quebec City. It may be years before I get back out there (unless someone wants to sponsor me, of course. :) )

    Thanks for the comment.

  • @FreewayBrent Set up a website dedicated to this with a donation feature and I bet you would.

  • @danielgirotto: I've had quite a few people recommend the idea, actually.

  • @TheXenProject Good the sooner the better. A 4 lane highway between Sudbury and Toronto is 30 years overdue

  • @101Restoration No its done to about 15 km north of Parry Sound, as well as a 15km stretch south of Sudbury. Feds came in and halted it for my enviro testing earlier this year and its just wrapping up now I believe. Still about 120 km of two lane road between Parry Sound and Sudbury

  • @TheXenProject yes have they finished extending the 400 to Sudbury? How much left? I loved the stretch to Parry Sound.

  • If you ever get a chance to travel further up the 400 North to Sudbury may I suggest filming a segment through Parry Sound. The blasted rock along the highway will remind you of I-15 through the Virgin River Gorge in AZ

  • 3:07 -> I saw the truck using left lane illegally because in Canada "NO TRUCKS LEFT LANE."

  • further nor along 400 to Parry Sound the countryside becomes an awe to the eye, especially in the autumn when the colors are full bloom peaking

  • Hey Brent, do you have any more Ontario videos?? Any QEW for instance?

  • @FreewayBrent - They just opened another 12 mile stretch of freeway a couple weeks ago. There remains about 70 miles that are still 2 lanes. (The next section to open should be from south of the Killarney turn to Estaire - about 11 miles - in 2012. Thankfully they eliminated an infamous and deadly corner recently.)

  • These are fantastic videos, especially for a roadgeek such as myself. I'll nitpick one thing though. In common parlance, everything south of the 401 is usually considered Black Creek Drive, but technically Highway 400 begins at 0:25, the Maple Leaf Drive overpass. That's why the Jane Street interchange is numbered as part of Hwy 400 (ic 20).
