This is a 69 GM 40amp alternator w/o a regulator, the internals are stock. I'm running it at 1750rpms, Thats why I use a 12vdc 1amp power supply at the rotor, So I don't sacrifice Amps. And no heating problem on tap h2o.
So this is am alt with internal regulator/diodes/etc and all putting out DC rather than hooking to the internals to get AC I suppose? What kind of current maximums (if you had measured) were you able to get out of it? Having 40A available were there heat problems with the cell?
At that point I was using a stock 69 GM 40amp alternator w/o a regulator. At about 2800 to 3000 rpms, Around 12.5 VDC at 24amps

Hello, what is the voltage and frequency output of your alternator.

20 to 30 min. It doesn't do it with distilled

how long did it take your fuel cell to fill up like that?
