One day, I hope that we would be able to walk into a building which hosts a library of games and consoles for us to borrow for free... who am I kidding that day would never come. Vandals and thieves would either break or still the wares, and companies would paint it as piracy.
It's sad to see games be stifled by greedy corporations and belligerent children when we've barely begun to recognise it's potential as an artistic medium.

Hey Mate, I hear you about online-play. Back in the day, I played Phantasy Star Online (Dreamcast). I met people I did not know and they were nice folks who helped each other. Its sad those days have turned into what you described. It seems like on-line play has become so detached unless you meet up with friends.

yea i agree with you on EA
no manual bullshit so lazy and to much greed

Yeah no manuals in games really piss me off they're all doing it now! I think they should at least lower the price, isn't that why pc games are cheaper? Oh and E.A, used to be so cool.

i'm in my 40's...you youngsters... i feel like im kranky kong in the DKC games...lol. i agree that the day gaming goes all digital content im done with anything new. but i dont think we have to worry about that. PSP go kind of proved to me that people still want physical media. and then you have onlive service. Umm yeah it's not really taking over the gaming world..lol. so i think were safe for awhile.

@lawnboyspost1975 I call shotgun!
I agree with this 100%! Also, what happened to games coming with posters? Why does everyone hate anything japanese? Why are a majority of preorder bonuses some lame weapon in the game and not a physical item. I could go on and on. I still really enjoy current gen games but there is quite a few things I don't care for.

I also still love modern games but if I had to pick between modern and retro, then show me to my Delorean!

I remember a few years ago when I played my first game online for a console (PC online for a long time before then), it was the multiplayer demo for Far Cry Something for the 360 (not 1 and 2 wasn't out yet). First I was shocked about how bad the graphics were, but the real shocker was the several 12yo boys cursing like I could have never imagined it.Hearing their tiny crackling voices try to act tough was so funny and annoying, I never again allowed online chat in console games.

Dude I couldnt agree more with you. I want a physical copy. People say that there is nothing but casual gamers now a days, but think about it. I have pride in my movie and game collection. I have about 6 games downloaded on my wii, and I couldnt care less about them if I lost them. Yes I do think that the gaming companies are just trying to max profits and not giving us what we are paying for. $60 for a game that needs massive patches and has no manual is horse shit. Great responce man.

I think the next generation may well be the start of the end of that special gaming experience, owning a physical game!
