Pitman Street is located in the Borough of Penns Grove, a town of about 5000 individuals. Penns Grove is a southern New Jersey town well known for the great pride and industrial spirit of it hardworking inhabitants. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of just less than one square mile, all of it land. Penns Grove borders Carneys Point Township and the Delaware River. I can remember when every one of those businesses was open and thriving.Section 8 tenants have ruined a once proud town.They are a blight that Penns Grove will never escape from.Pitman st. in particular,was mostly Italian and it was a beautiful st to grow up on.People had pride, not like the scum that lives there now.
