Carrier Ops Oahu

The star and even the scriptwriter of this short film is a model of the U.S.S. Nimitz by Mr. Javier "Thrawn" Fernandez. Flight was recorded in the simulator with FS Recorder, and playback was filmed with a Canon digital camera. At this point I don't have a tool to adjust the gamma, so it's a little dark. Sequence is a composite of three launches and traps, the last in a crosswind -- hence the rudder adjustment at the last second. Font is "Eaglefeather" by Frank Lloyd Wright and David Siegel. Splinter pattern Hornet livery is by Andy Nott. Hyuga-class helicopter destroyer is by Mitsuya Hamaguchi. Additional credits are listed at the end of the video.
