The Mumbai attacks were a well-coordinated strike on India's economy, its internationalism, it pluralism, its openness. Now this nuclear-armed nation, the world's biggest democracy, faces a historic challenge, one that will test its mettle and shape its role on the world stage.
"India Rising," produced by Simon Marks, Kristin McHugh, and Keith Porter, is a Stanley Foundation production in association with KQED Public Radio and KUT Austin.
YEAH I ENJOYED THE DOCUMENTARY

This program is a surprisingly uncritical take on the official Indian line on its economy, development, and foreign policy. I would expect more investigation, balance, and analysis from a program broadcast on public radio, not just interviews with Manhattan transplants, Indian military think-tank reps, and millionaire developers.
