I taught my horses the word "wait" for them to receive a treat, even if I put it right on their lips. So if I say wait, they wait until I say "good girl" or "good boy".

I tried it today with the gelding I am taking care of, this worked wonderful!

no I tried it on my gelding it actually worked. Though you have to be in her method I presume for it to work properly. If this destroys trust then how come a foal and a mother never have destroyed trust?She said this is the first thing a mother establishes with foals.

this is wonderful. i love working with stallions and colts and i use a similar method. i see one of the comments about pressure, and i do agree that there are different horses with different sensitivities, so i am sure that the individual will learn how to use the correct level of pressure. this horse was definately at no time afraid, and if another more sensitive horse were used, i know that the "push" would have been much more subtle. i am buying the full lenght. thankyou
