I love it when Gene sings these beautiful love songs because I feel this is what he did best. This is the Gene I love best.
-
une des plus belle voix qui soit, rien a dire de plus!!!

@zaaritha probably a suspected burst ulcer seems to be the general reason for his
death - a condition brought on by his heavy drinking caused by the pain he recieved in his leg from the Motorcycle accident when he was in the U.S Navy .
-
I thought he died of a tumour in his brain!?
Is that just wrong?
Gene Vincent was the most underrated rocker in the 50's who never disappoints. His ballads, such as this, are amazing, yet he is far better known as one of the founders of rockabilly.
I had never heard him sing this before, thanks for posting, got anymore

i totally agree with wendy and the rest..a fantastic singer of love songs/ballads when he wanted to......no one else can put the emotion into it like he could !( apart from bily fury and darin) ..i wish he had recorded a hundred more ballads, but sadly he didn,t..no one can touch gene for his version of hi li hi lo..just like no one can touch billy fury,s version of forget him...
