There were plenty of Jewish Boxers prior to the WW2. Actually after the First World War many Jewish immigrants that settled on the Lower East Side turned to boxing. One of the most famous being Benny Leonard. Leornard and many other Jews trained at Grupp's Gym on 116th street and 8th ave. Then known as New York's boxing headquarters but the owner was a drunken Dutchman that hated jews and lost Leonard and the rest of his fighters to Stillmans gym.

Sir, I admire your restraint. Faced with Jerry Seinfeld, I don't know what I'd do... That conniving little worm trying to out-Jew everyone all the time..!

Britain's East end of London in the early decades of the 20th century had some Jewish Boxers. Daniel Mendoza, Jack Berg. + as BrooklynSal says, LES NY.

The Mendoza chop (striking the opponents left forarm with your left) was developed by a Spanish Jew in London. He tought the stylish young bucks how to fight, and quite a few of the tribe.

Jackie you need to go to Brooklyn. In the JDL they were afraid and we kicked the crap out of anyone who came our way. We never ran. Even completely out numbered. Sorry Jackie on this one you are wrong. There are tons of togh Jews esp in NY & Israel. May be a few days on base in the IDF? Let em know you can spend sometime on my old base. KOCH!!
