Los Angeles participated in Thrill The World 2008, helping break the world-wide record for the most people to do the Thriller dance simultaneously world-wide. 114 people danced in LA, and over 4,170 worldwide. This is the video made by the Los Angeles Thrill the World organization.

Damn me too! I can't believe none of my friends or I even heard anything about it. Until it was too late. Grrr...I would've dressed up and joined the fun as well. Who knows? maybe next year bigger and badder and more participants at LA Live? =D

I wish I would have known about this!!! I would have been there! I am on EVERYTHING. Twitter, here, youtube, watch the news constantly, etc. NEVER heard 1 word about this, until it was too late (on the 11 fox news tonight). Maybe we would have won th...e record if there were my PR, more word about it. I could have brought a ton of friends too :(

Nope. It was (is) open to anyone who wanted to participate. We had people from all over LA, of every age and skill level. You only needed to come to one practice (about 3 hours) to learn it and we had practices all over LA leading up to it. Next year we hope to have more people hear about it in advance and learn it.

We're working on a longer video with interviews and more of the setup & post events! The break dancing will be in there!
