  • I just got a 2005 tC and not to be a copy-cat, but I was wanting to do the same mods you have. Did you have any CEL with the K&N intake or DC header?

  • @Veritas615 to answer your question, no matter WHAT headers or intake you have for your tC, you will get a CEL. Headers get rid of the primary cat and the intake pipe size is bigger then the stock box so you get more air flow across the Mass Airflow Sensor causing a CEL. However the Anti-fouler trick you put on the S-pipe on your 2nd O2 Sensor works pretty well for the most part, and it will only cost like 5 bucks. I highly recommend you go on Scionlife, tons of advice. My sn is SierraRomeoAlpha

  • @Veritas615 dont worry on being a copy cat, besides DC Headers and the K&N intake are the best N/A products you can get, but thats just my opinion. Also, you wont really be copy catting me seeing as though i JUST put in my turbo kit not to long ago. As people said below that headers do make it sound raspy, however this exhaust with a turbo sounds amazing! It sounds very crisp and deep with no need for a resonator. I just posted videos of it. Need any help with mods plz let me know!

  • @OperationScion I appreciate the quick reply. But unfortunately some silly little teenager rear-ended my car and pushed it into another vehicle, completely totaling the Scion. =(

If I get another, I'll def keep the mods in mind.

    thanks

  • @Veritas615 Im REALLLLY sorry to hear that! I hope everything has worked out for you. Have you decided what your going to get?

  • hows the interior noise level ?? did it go up?

  • not to badly actualy. the noise level is pretty decent. Nothing that playing music at 20 volume level wont drownd out.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Sounds good but that has to suck on the highway

  • you may like it, but its too raspy for me

  • trust me, buddy, its the header.. since its actually part of the full exhaust. any sort of upgrade in the intake will make the tc sound better.

  • its not the intake. its the header making it sound like that

  • not to piss u off or anything but ur intake is making the sound of that exhaust ricey. Never put K&N intakes on imports
