Al Roker comes to Long Beach, NY, to start off his commentary on Hurricane Irene. It was about 6:25 pm on Saturday at the boardwalk. I saw him while I was filming the waves and erosion, so you actually see him a few seconds after I spot him coming down the ramp to the beach. It was a pisser! I just had to say hi and continue filming him.
Little did he know, my brother was just standing in this newly formed "puddle" a minute ago and it was quickly eroding as beaches do under these circumstances.
I will NEVER forget the giddiness I felt when AL stormed into that "puddle" and almost got submerged. It's probably obvious based on my laughter.
There's something about AL that's inherently quirky, clumsy and funny.
If you don't get that from this vid then I missed something.
Let me know what you think!
Sorry for the mediocre quality. I had to put a zip-loc bag over my camera to protect it.
I'll be taking a LOT of video throughout this mess, so stay tuned for uploads.
Earthquakes? Hurricanes? Floods?
In the same week?
WTF?
Thanks lcknload, it was fun putting it all together.
