  • Hi beeilly this video was a keel joint which was x-rayed the following day and passed. I wasn't using a spool gun just a double roller feed and teflon liner wire is 1.2mm aluminium with magnesium so is nice and stiff you don't get many foulups if machine and rollers are set right. wire speed is a little fast was welding quicker than usual had to get finished for x-rays next day. thanks for your comments

  • if you are looking for welding machines for commercial us i can put you in contact with our suplyer.

  • Nice video. Good welds. But a lense protected view would be better.

  • Very good weld alot of people commenting are used to cosmetic alum welding not strength. I use 5356, 3/32 wire for 1/4, 3/8 aluminum. In my experience that is probably one of the best welds on thick alum i have seen. It is very hard to get rid of the smoke on thicker aluminum. Rookie comments anger me, especially someone who welds sheet metal all day long using 4043 or 1100. Totally different ball game. Very good job.

  • @Beeilly ..I hear you on the 'rookies'...I have done a good deal of MIG on the ARCO gasoline tanker trucks...5356 and base metal is #5000 series...

  • @Bombjockey9~ indeed.

  • @ronsam3825 Incorrect, the alloy of the wire is the reason that the speed seems a little fast. It is a very hard alloy of wire, therefore hard to burn off, but if you get too hot you will make the material brittle and weak. So you have to get the settings somewhere in the middle not to hot, also not to cold. This alloy of wire also leaves alot of smoke even when the materian is very clean. I use 5356 alloy alot, and you can acid bath the material and still smoke and spatter.

  • @bmwjmj pulsed.

  • nice video.

i have never seen a mig machine with pre flow settings.

are you using a spool gun if not dont you find the machine jams alot.

Seems like wire speed is a little fast is there a reason for that.

  • @bokemonz orlicon
