Alan rickman is VERY sexy! but the reason why i love him is because of Snape idk why I just really really love Snape.

My movie viewing experience must be very sparse. Outside of Die Hard, I have great difficulty in readily recalling films featuring Alan Rickman. I've never considered him to be a handsome man, although that view may be biased by the few dark characters I've known him to play. That, in it self, could be considered a testament to his skill in portraying those characters.

@EPICdocumentary He didn't stand for good. He didn't stand for evil. He revolved his existence around Lily's decisions.

@Nsnick88 I know what you mean. I strongly disliked Severus until I read Deathly Hallows. After viewing his memories my entire perception of the character changed. The Harry Potter Series and the book Paper Towns (and just books in general!) really make me wish I could get into people's heads so I can better relate to them and actually understand their motivations. I feel like Snape was such a tragic character because he could have overcome the obsticles in his life and didn't.

I've loved Snape ever since I finished Deathly Hallows. Alan Rickman definately adds to the character's appeal but he isn't the reason I like the character.

@EPICdocumentary YES, Neville's grandmother is highly underrated!
Hahaha, posers. xD It appears that the power of cinema has suddenly compelled everyone to fall in love with these characters!

It wasn't ~necessary~ but I was upset at the lack of Grindelwald as well. For selfish reasons.
I don't really care for Snape. But I love Alan Rickman. He did brilliantly. And the younger Snape was adorable (I loved all the child actors).
As a Catholic, I'm all for sacrificial love, but I agree that his actions are done in vain. Kind of his way of proving to himself that he had one up on James. But I didn't like James either.
The only thing Snape stood for, was Lily. He's a parasite.

@hellolover99 Haha yeah, I'll admit my hope for more Grindelwald was also for selfish reasons. Good way of putting it.
It's interesting that so many people don't like James. JK really kind of kicked his character to the ground at one point (5th book) and never really let him redeem himself. A shame. Ah well, that's the beauty of flawed characters.
And agreed, the child actors were adorable!

Snape makes me rethink the way I view people. He was so multi-dementional that whenever someone is mean to me I now try to think outside of myself and figure out why they are being mean to me.

@peculiarpixie Ah, the power of flawed characters! :) It's so amazing how just one little twist to his character enabled us rethink the entirety of the plot of the series as a whole.
