@ladytess23 Look up tolomeres; a part of the DNA that imperfectly replicates as the cell "renews" itself. Eventually, the cell stops functioning. You are immortal anyway, just not here.
-
I've nothing against the possibility or actuality of immortality, and I understand that there are some immortals living among us though I never personally met one. I believe, however, that very few can master the necessary mental and psychological discipline to achieve this. Those that do are probably selected and have a specific mission and special particular duties to perform--earth angels, if you will.

@meanstoaend I'm Just sayin why not pick on the companies peddling sugar to kids? Seems tony the tiger is a much bigger "Charlatan" and the people buying it are the "Cult", this is just one of many examples of people being sold something that is proven to harm health(especially kids) and being allowed to market it as a legitimate food. These companies it seems to me are much more malevolent than some people having a positive attitude about longevity.

@meanstoaend Whatever label You want to put on them, since You went to see them, are they walking their talk, even a little? How would one know if they were legit or not? Are you pissed cause You paid money and didn't see any results with the program/philosophy/lifestyle? If that lady was 80 I'd be wantin to pay a visit myself. Sammy Hagar is 63 and he looks fantastic, and he parties, alot!!!! Whats goin on with his cellular intercourse?;)~~

@meanstoaend If they offend You why pay attention to them? They seem positive to me I like being creative with terminology I'm not into just following something because it's popular or perfectly cut &dry, matter of fact I don't follow much, I'm an open minded skeptic, I question everything and am open to everything and I am cautious when I feel the need.I don't like to limit myself by condemning people with labels unless perhaps those people are violent, these people seem quite benign.
-
@meanstoaend Yeah I gotcha You think You know whats up like many people do. So I suppose because a world religion is soooo big that makes them non-charlatans and non-cultish because they have such a large following? So the non-charlatans are those that You deem the most popular?Just because people get creative/original with language and terminology You can't jive with that? Ultimately I'm into results, if these people have slowed their clock a little or turned it back a bit that's what counts.

@Myflesh101 um, no. At the one and only event I went to roughly 4 months ago, even Strole said these words: "People say we're a cult, but we're a good cult." Those were his words. The last a checked, no cult per se, is looked at favorably. One aspect of a cult is the use of its own terminology. The charlatans of PU use the term "cellular intercourse," whatever the hell that means. I think the ABC News investigation of this group in the 1980s (see v=9MU8L4Javj4) says much about their character.

Thanks Alan as well for bringing great possibilities to Us in human form, it makes it more real than just reading about it;)

@JackHighlander If there are Taoists or Yogis etc that have lived hundreds or thousands of years and we assume these stories are possible then I feel that surrender and being in absolute peace is what allowed this physiology of longevity to perpetuate, stepping out of ALL resistance and not fighting anything. This "non-fighting" allows one be in total harmony with nature and then the power of nature is truly revealed and the cells can reflect this by regenerating continuously.
-
@ursuscanine My assumption is that if You created a strong enough attitude/control of physiology to keep yourself alive indefinitely then you could reverse aging as well, thats alot of control either way. I hope these guys pull it off!!!!
I've always wondered, if our cells renew themselves every few days, weeks, months, depending on the area of the body, then why can't you live forever?

this group is a non-destructive cult, a human transformation cult, but a cult nonetheless. I went to one event whom a neighbor asked me to attend, and you get the 'pull' immediately: some inspiring music, a nice looking man and leader of sorts smooth-talking the members; rapturous devotion (huzzahs) abound with personal testimony (group cohesion); feting of these jokers in the video when they took the stage. The regulars were just gaga in this event. These people are scam artists. Stay away.
