Kaimahi from Nagti Hine Health Trust lead a flash mob called the "Pregnant Pause" to promote support for women to take a pause from drinking alcohol while they are pregnant. Despite good awareness of the harms, 1 in 4 women continue to drink during their pregnancy , and in NZ an estimated 1 in 100 babies are born with some degree of FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) effect. Events were also held in Kerikeri, Kaitaia, Hokianga, and Kawakawa.
