The signal is on a loop, like an automated distress beacon. When reversed and slowed down, it says "the alien is never alive" (Also near the end you can hear it say "help me, help me")

hmmmmmm they are coordanints to the cidadel megaton and the crash site

i think its coordinates for other aliens to try to help them so thats why i was attracted to the ship!
