  • They made their own bed now they have to lie in it. If you run racing like a bunch of hicks, then you deserve what you get. With a closed club mentality, there is no motivation of anyone in the industry to recruit new grooms, or invite people who want to get in the industry as owners, grooms or trainers. I know, I worked for an incompetent trainer who works out of Lacombe, Alberta. Now I can't find employment again. If you are not willing to hire, then don't expect the industry to survive!
