Thank you so much for posting this. Its the first solo/lead that I had with a group when I was 16 yrs old. I am now 67. What memories. I learned to play Gospel piano also by being influenced by this group. So glad I got to meet some of the members early in life and befriended at least one RMS before she passed. What a blessing they were. ANOINTED!!!

Yeah, they don't make 'em like this anymore. I have all of their Savoy albums and most of their Apollo recordings. Just wish I knew how to upload--I'd make sure every song could be heard from the Roberta Martin Singers. By far they're my favorite singing group ever.

What a shame it is so difficult to find records of the Roberta Martin singers....and how wonderful to find them back on you tube! For me one of the best group ever in Gospel, with wonderful voices. So many talents came out from their singing...

Thank you for posting this song right here! This was a house recking song when I was younger. This video made me realize that mere fact that we as a culture have forgotten an entire era of Gospel music. Gospel music has come a long ways, but how far have we gone? Have we gone astray from the soul of what Gospel music set out to do?

I love this song! Thank you for posting it. We need to hold on to these songs. It's good to sing some contemporary songs but lets hold on to the traditional too. Some of the contemporary is too jazzed up and you can't feel all of them in your heart.

Thanks for making this song available. It is so "uplifting".
There was a group of sisters and brothers in the church i grew up calle dthe Christ Temple Five (now the Cherry Sisters) and they sang this song since I was a little child (Im 48 now...whew) and I have looked for this song all over the place. I always called it Father I Stretch....Thanks SOOOOOO much Purplesnowman for this... omgosh...
