  • Blessed love - thanks for sharing this. Me and my hubby watched this and it took us right back - from the box dropping on the man toe to the hustling about the money - nuttin nah change! lol I used to help with a little local sound - lifting the boxes on the way to a dance wasnt so bad when we were fuelled with the excitement of running chune, but the hardest part was after the dance - no-one wanted to lift box after playing out all night. Everyone wanted their bed! lol Nice one

  • @LadyLex65 Your right "nuttin a change"

  • Hiya mate, do you happen to have a tracklist for the tunes in this video?

  • @sketchywilliams Off the top of my head, without listening to the film again....One aim, One Jah, One destiny - Hugh Mundell. Late night blues - Don Carlos.

  • What is the model of the Garrard turntable you were using? Its not the 4HF I was expecting!

  • If I remember rightly, it was a Garrard SP25 mk2.

  • Wot De Hell! It's 3 in the morning,I'm smoking a phat one here in NYC and came across dis. It's for real, takes me back inthe day when we lived in dreary UK. My cuz was in Huddersfield and we'd come up for the blues party. The vibe, the big boxes (hand made to capture the Bass), The Toaster on the mic, the lickle youth sneaking in to peep on big people dance is how it was. Was this shot inthe 70's? Thanks so much for posting, the ol' skool DIY style blues (B4 Chemical brother etc etc)

    Peace!

  • Love it, especially dialogue 0:54-1:42. Great short film.

  • @sketchywilliams Its always good to discover new 'old' tunes !.

  • @Axissound Many thanks, just added two new tunes to my collection. This has to be my favourite video on youtube. It makes me feel nostalgic, I wasn't even born then.
