ACT UP: Ashes Action - 13 October 1996

ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) took the cremated human remains of friends, lovers, and family members who were murdered by AIDS (killed by government neglect) and threw the ashes onto the White House lawn in Washington DC in protest on October 11, 1992.

There is an amazing library of stuff available through the AIDS Activist Video archive at the New York Public Library, but not much of it is online. Just google "aids activist video collection NYPL"

I shot a lot of this! :) Much of that stuff right up on the White House Fence, and definatley all that post-action meeting footage is from my videocamera. It's nice to know it's available for people to view. People should know what happened. Thank you also for the David Wojnaowicz quote.

I am one of the composers of the soundtrack for the AIDS documentary "How To Survive A Plague". We are releasing the soundtrack digitally with all proceeds going to an AIDS charity.

I have to make a trailer for the soundtrack release and I was wondering if I can use some of this footage. I know it is CC but I don't know how to attribute you in a trailer that won't have any credits.
