@Requiemxtoxinnocence 1) If you reject the Bible because it was written by men, then why do you accept that quote, since it was written by a man?

2) Every evildoer will stand before God to give an account. The problem is, we are all evildoers in His sight. To demonstrate His mercy, He made a way of escape by Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. He now commands that your response is to repent of your sins and trust in Him.

Why not just repent on your deathbed, instead of wasting one's life on your gibberish?

Why didn't god forbid rape and childmolestation in his commandments?

Does god really respect people who act slavishly and relinquish their self-respect?

1) If you had any sincere desire to repent, you would repent now, b/c you would know that God deserves it. Also, you may not get the chance; many people die without any warning.

2) That's not true; God did forbid rape. See Deut 22:25-27.

3) Actually, no He doesn't. He calls those who willfully continue as slaves to sin, despite the mercy He offers them, fools. The Bible talks about self-respect, but w/ a diff word, pride, and it says God rejects the proud (James 4:6).

@ChrisHobeck Sorry, my comment was disrespectful! I was just venting! It bothers me when people, like those in the video, claim to know the mind of god. They don't!

In one part of the bible is says for at tribe to kill all men, women and children, expect the female children who have not known a man by sleeping with him. And to keep those girls for themselves. I don't understand this morality?

@Requiemxtoxinnocence I was just correcting you on Epicurus challenging the Bible as he lived well before the Bible was written.

@Stitchman3875 That doesn't mean his words can't apply to todays religions and gods. He was a materialist. Besides i've seen better sayings from philosophers than from most holy figures because they could think outside the box. Epicurus just saw gods as neutral forces not wrathful loving gods. But whatever... I won't impede your belief only question it.

@Requiemxtoxinnocence I think Epicurus was before Christianity. His state was a paradoxical statement question the Gods of his day. He was more of a Deist who believed God does not interact with us.

That statement was filled with such a vast amount of effluvium that you have obviously been subjected to a religious 'disease' which inhibits your reason.

The biblical God is one of the most malevolent beings ever described in a book of fiction. His version of justice is for religious serial murderers to reside in heaven with Mother Theresa...READ YOUR DAMN BIBLE.

@GMTJ2 Sir, your comment makes absolutely no sense. An omniscient God knows what is going to happen long ahead of time. So, obviously he made all the Atheists and gave them inquisitive minds....all the time knowing that they would question his existence and go to hell. Simple enough?

@CynicalSkeptic1 Well just because he knew what you were going to choose doesnt mean he made you choose that path. You always have a choice. And yes he did know there would be athiests thats why he sent his son out of his love for your soul, even though he knew you would reject it

@ChrisHobeck 1) Well Epicurus was a wise man a philosopher and a scientist, he was asking a logical question to the men who wrote the bible and expected a logical answer back. Some have said religion is philosophical suicide, I personally just think we all need to understand each other and get along.

2) I've heard the resurrection story a million times before but it still isn't logical.

"Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword." (Deuteronomy 13:15)

@ChrisHobeck I believe he is referring to Numbers 31...but there are many atrocities in the Bible which you should be well aware. For one thing you are supposed to kill all non-believers....not just try to convert them. If you are unsuccessful in the conversion then you are to immediately kill them...not just let them walk away.
