Religious figures are intellectual and spiritual slave holders. Plain and simple.

@soviet86 It's in the teachings, Taoism teaches that to "keep on filling" is not as good as stopping eg. When striving for more money, it consumes your time and most people go well beyond the point of wealth and just keep going without any feeling of success. This kind of overfilling would drive a man insane and make him bound to striving, yet the Taoist teachings are designed to free him from such fate. You are truly rich when you have enough.

@marineninga sources?

@delmarian On the contrary many eastern philosophies and religions like Buddhism and Taoism are the ultimate liberation. They free a man from hate, violence, ego, and ultimately pain.

We need God, not religion...God will never condemn, will always give you grace and to live his way is to be a superhuman, he has given us life and eternal life if we just realise we are accepted by him. The guilt is not an everpresent thing but something that RELIGION has instilled in our minds. God truely forgives those who have a love for bettering their ways. Sinful desires fade and decease over time because of a Love relationship built with God :)

we need religion that does not trap an individual in shame, guilt and fear.

This is fine, except the original campaign that you're spoofing had nothing to do with Catholics, it was a Protestant campaign.

@TheDevilsAdvocateX Needs more bigot.
No religion has any sort of freedom. They are all forms of control.

Im so glad not 2 have grown up in a religious family! My parents made me believe a rabbit gave me chocolate eggs and that a fat guy came down my chimney every year if they had introduced religion i woulda taken the bait at such a gullible age! I love being an atheist
