I saw it 4 days before this in Pittsburgh. Becky Gulsvig starred and she did amazing but I loved Lauren from the show. During the finale tho Elle came out in a Penguin's jersey. The crowd went wild.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this performance with Lauren as Elle! What a difference a good conductor makes!

Those earlier versions with Lauren where everyone thinks she doesn't sound like herself need to remember that performers are at the mercy of the tempo from the orchestra.

Lauren sounds better and more like herself here because the music is being played correctly and she is able to sing the song and really show her acting choices.
