Another video...this time to the song Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwrightv (Sorry, I said Jeff Buckley, dont know what was going through my mind at that point in time, probable exaustion lol). This one is good and very creative on my part I think, I heard the song and instantly the little mermaid popped in my head. This is probably the most out of order you will see TLM lol.
incase its confusing, eric and ariel are in love, vanessa puts a spell on eric and forces him to marry her, then ariel becomes a mermaid due to vanessa turning her into one, most of the video is ariel and eric rememebring, ariel my favorite part i think is when ariel sees a ship and oh its eric!! she just watches, then the ship explodes she saves him he knows he saw her ariel cries she was so close to getting him back, eric goes looking for her ariel attackes vanessa/ursula, eric sees them fighting and saves ariel

It certainly has a broad judeo-christian theme. Leonard Cohen comes from a Jewish background and religion often appears in his work, as does the theme of music itself. I find it so sad that people don't even realise that he wrote it (not that bloody Wainwright guy). Cohen's verison is much more raw and wmotive.
