Ghostbusters Ecto 1 Replica

This is the most recent video work while out playing with Ecto. Ecto is designed from an old 1960 Cadillac Ambulance. The model is the Superior. She is still undergoing many changes and new add ons. And before the die hard Ghostbuster fanatics start flipping out and saying she's suppose to be a 1959 Miller Meteor....... I AM AWARE OF THIS. A 1960 was the best we could do so deal with it. :-)

@AuximenesIsAlive Bad isn't it? LoL Anywhere else in the world, this car turns heads like nobody's business. But here in Claremore, OK, no one thinks twice about it anymore. LoL It's like they "expect" the Ghostbusters to be out doing their rounds. LoL :-)

do you know about how much in total it was to replicate it? And do you know if any of the 1959 miller meteor's still exist?

@minesandlookouts I'd say total cost to replicate it wasn't that bad. Most of the props on the roof I built myself in my garage, and the only thing purchased are the lights and police light bars. As far as the 59 being available still, well I can tell you that Cadillac only built like 300 or so of the 59 MM. They are out there still, we see them all the time. Some are great, some are horrible. But they're out there. :-)

Your right Cadillac commissioned about 300 1959 Miller Meteors. There are 3 body styles that were made by Miller Meteor that year, Landu, Sentinel, and Futura. The Ghostbusters Ecto 1 was made from a Futura, in which they only made from 80 - 100. They are out there, but many of them are in poor condition. Your 60' Superior is very well done. I look forward to seeing it next time in In Tulsa.
