Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas (see BibleQuery & HistoryCart) interviews Bob L. Ross, author of "Campbellism, Its History & Heresies" about his week long debate with nationally known "Church of Christ" speaker & author Bill Jackson. Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
WOW ! That must have taken a while to put 3000 souls under water and back up.
At this point there was 12 disciples so that would mean each disciple had to baptize 250 ppl each. That was a long day of water baptizing, Huh !
I don't think there is any possible way physically to baptize 3000 in water in a day,it had to be baptism with the Holy Spirit.

"reyjacobs" I can tell you're bent out of shape by what you call "Calvinism." Bob Ross is a Christian author, Director of Pilgrim Bookstore, & is one of the leading publishers of Charles Haddon Spurgeon in the world (Spurgeon was a so-called "Calvinist"). A Calvinist merely believes what the Bible teaches about salvation, namely that God does the saving of souls not the sinners themselves (Mark 10:27). Campbellites reject this & want to WATER BAPTIZE their way into heaven by their own works.

Excellent job "latabanza" you have done your homework! Currently we have our entire 5 hour series on Mormonism posted on the internet. Overall, we have around 250 hours of video posted in various places such as GOOGLE VIDEO, YAHOO VIDEO, VIMEO VIDEO & CLIPSER (search LARRY WESSELS on their respective homepages to bring up the videos). Keep up the good work of exposing the false prophets (Ephesians 5:11).

The doctrines you're giving us 6153calme are the interpretations of Alexander Campbell"s theory on the necessity of water baptism for your salvation. You're simply taking Bible verses & reading into those verses the view that Alex would have you to believe. That is why Alex Campbell, Walter Scott, Barton Stone, & Thomas Campbell & their writings are so popular in the "church of Christ" denominations. Go check the shelf in your "church" library & see how many Campbell related books are there.

By the way why do you keep referring to us as Cambellites, we neither follow their doctrine or any doctrine set forth by any man? If there are some "Cambellites" they are not member of the church of Christ.

Authorized by God self appointed by a guy who was know for being a Mason and told big stories and lies. You believe1 guy/joes smith instead of the historical documents that prove Jesus was here, died, raised from the dead. The mormon church was 1 of many churches started around 1830-1834.the church of christ was started by a guy who was in the moron church first. If people were informed about the churches that started around the 1830's, they would rethink going to them. Those churches are in apostacy.

"6153calme" no one is saying a Christian should not get baptized. Biblically, Christians should be obedient to Scripture & get baptized, that is not the issue here. The issue with the Campbellite "Church of Christ" is that they make water baptism a prerequisite for obtaining eternal salvation! This is a different gospel (Galatians 1:6-9) much like the Judaizers made circumcision a prerequisite for salvation in Galatians (see also Acts chapter 15). Water baptism is not essential to salvation.

This sounds like double talk how can you be a christian if you do not get baptz and then be a disobedient Christian? Sounds like double take 2 me. Makes zero sense.

You're in deep weeds here leSavii since your backyard is in need of major lawn service. I've already explained Biblically that most people who claim to be Christians are indeed not Christians & the only way to tell is by going by what the Bible teaches (Matt 7:15 ff). Mormons are just one more false cult claiming to be Biblical when they are not (that's why you don't know your Bible). Our ministry battles all false religions whether they are Church of Christ, Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons.

WHAT BOTHERS ME & MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST...Why Christian ministers & pastor are still fighting over their interpretaions of the Holy Bible & then try to teach us what we believe? It doesn't make sense, does it?
My advise is to you is to clean your backyard first before looking at mine
