No, Matthew; it's turned me into more of a lover and less of a macho wimp/fighter. I will defend, with courage and gentility, as best my nerves allow- and I'm still quite the wuss! I have a hard time asking a woman out for coffee, or getting a phone number or email address. Cold feet? I'm afraid of getting my itsy bitsy feewings hurt! %P I've never eaten shit, nor will I eat shit. I still put up with a lot more than is necessary for civil creatures to endure. I'm not turd tested tough, however!

He was the epitome of studs when this came out, the wonder boy of power pop and such a babe magnet that girls and women (and, i'm sure, some men) were forcibly ejected from many a show for getting "overly" excited sexually and acting out their passions under the influence of "demon rock 'n' roll, haha! ;)

macho buddies, hazers, too cool to care? we all knew the type- but weren't they badassed/cool? I was a nerd/wimp, albeit standing up to the school tough who picked on me once too often. i backed down to prove that my parents' spending on my braces was more important to me than whether he thought I was a coward and a wuss. ;)

Bit of trivia: Eric Carmen sold the guitar ( a customized Gibson Melody Maker) he is playing in this clip to Joan Jett after the Raspberries broke up. It is still her main guitar to this day and was the basis for her own Gibson signature model Melody Maker.
