Yes, I am in the business of selling consumer electronics products. Unfortunately, we are in a world now full of unfinished products pushed out by every company, not just pioneer, infact of all of them, I still feel that Pioneer is one of the best. The problems these products have is that more and more people are buying on price vs. quality

, every company feels they can fix the bugs using firmware updates, and there are less and less store front locations to test and play with the product before you buy.

Does it play video/movies/tv shows that I have on an iPod? .. I ask because I know the AVIC-F700BT does.

Yes, it does do video.

great video, kind of long to watch the whole thing, wish you had text in the description of this video with a review in your own words, and maybe reference certain parts of the video for examples of how great or poor the F500BT handled certain functions, but otherwise I really appreciate the video.

Thanks, Yea, I did spend way too much time on the bad blackberry experience. It's the phone I love and use, I didn't know at the time, that it was the blackberry causing the issue. Most phones work fairly well with this unit.

but i have a question, how do you connect it to your car speakers? Or you just bought some speakers and connected it to that device?

you can hack the software and change it to tom tom or other stuff. There is a website to hack this unit to ungrade it or change it.

will it play dvd movies as well and is the navigation on a disk or card?

I just installed mine, amp and all and it works very well. only wish I could play Ipod with just the USB and not the cable that connects the audio and video through another connector. (PS:  Ipod touch 2nd gen Firm 3.0)

just to compare something... which is better, the pioneer AVIC-F500BT or the sony NV-U94T?

i love the features of this F500BT but i also like the U94T cuz its so simple.
