Snake in the Kitchen

In our house in Chiangmai north Thailand we have two kitchens ... an indoor western-style kitchen with an adjacent outdoor covered Thai kitchen.
Just now there was a scream ... "Snake in the Kitchen" .... and my wife knows me so well she also added " ... and bring the camera".
Fortunately the domestic helper we have had already dealt with the intruder .. and here is the proof.
I wonder if it was poisonous? ... maybe I should set Googles image recognition/comparison application (Goggles) the task ...

We don't get many a year so don't worry if you are visiting us in the future.
... one of our cats had caught a bird just 30 mins earlier and there is now a theory that the snake could smell the kill and was looking for the birds remains.
