You said you dont brush your hair cuz it would be flat?????? What do you do to it then?

@tiffanybienko Nothing. I like to wash it at night and sleep on it which makes it a bit messier. It's longer now and has a bit of a wave to it when I do that, otherwise it looks too silky and smooth (which I don't think is a good look).

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but you might find it easier to back comb with a rat tail comb, the tail helps you separate pieces to back comb as well as sectioning and making clean lines for up-dos'.

I used to never brush my hair. It turned into a "rat's nest" multiple times and was almost impossible to brush out. Thank goodness I do now.

To keep hair volumized, bend down so you head is upside down and brush from the bottom of your hair and go up to the top of the head. It's just brushing your hair upside down and from behind. When you are done, sit up straight and brush your hair the usual way and tada!! Volumized hair!!
