G20 finance ministers have failed to agree on how to fund global cuts to carbon emissions ahead of the Copenhagen climate summit. This is tantamount to re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic (in 2009!) - before the inevitable end!
The outcome will be devastating for 'third world' economies resulting from rising sea levels, droughts, floods, hurricanes, etc etc etc. They could have been helped by sharing in the funding but that is not to be.....
Poorer nations + even not-so-poor countries which cannot afford to indulge in "Quantative Easing" (the spoofy officially sanctioned term for printing money a la the 1930's German Weimar Republik) will be abandoned to their fate!?!?
Meanwhile, the 'developed nations' will reap the effects of hyperinflation - a kind of financial self-destruction - or the economic enslavement of their future generations to intolerable levels of debt in repaying their fore-fathers' wanton profligate errors
Oh, it is expected that there will be a carbon tax in 'rich countries' which will transfer wealth as compensation to poorer countries. Better think again, uhh. Once inflation has taken over, who will be able to afford that tax? It will soon be replaced by 'extinguishment of carbon tax' legislation in order to escape such a fanciful notion..... unless carbon trading schemes are intended to take over from share market + financial market trading?!?!
