Even the CLO did not play "Casa Loma Stomp" at danceable tempo - except for that very first recording in 1930. Today it is traditionally played as fast as possible.

I stand corrected - I just listened to the 1937 recording and although it is the fastest of all the Casa Loma's versions recorded in the 1930's, it IS slower than this version. Vince and the band are MONSTERS!
