Bicicleta - audi a5 "rhythm of lines" spoof and homage

I quite liked the Audi A5 ad (rhythm of lines), which at the time was aired constantly. Around the time the "World Naked Bike Ride" rally had just passed, so I was more passionate about bicycles than usual, it just had to be done; A homage to the ad, and an alternative to the car.
I find it odd how, here in Spain, every 2nd add is for a car in times when all the talk is global warming. Lately though the adverts seem to emphasise a bit more on their eco friendliness rather than their must-have hipp factor but high petrol consumption.

I actually finished this weeks ago, but wanted to improve on the video, which never happened.. I'm quite happy with the music though. Especially since I only know one chord!!!

The original Audi A4 ad was supposedly made using 3d stroke (and some 3d app/).. My knowledge of it is a bit limited.. so I never figured out how to get depth of field and ..occlusion.. damn area I've gotten myself into. But yeah, trapcode, what would it be without him?

Yeah, looks like trapcode. Would have been nicer with Paint Effects in Maya thou... Depth of field is in the camera settings; either that or you can always fake it with an adjustment layer ;)

Use Trapcode on almost all my projects. Particularly shine at the moment. Sound Keys is always a winner too. Havent had a chance to play with 'form' yet but looks awesome!

Damn... I'm always drunk when I'm about to respond to this comment. Anyway; I can't find no depth of field for 3dstroke. But I will try to get around to look at Paint Effects. Although sometimes I wonder whether .. I shouldn't have learnt 3dmax or Cinema4d instead.. And yeah, form looks like another one of those bastards that will get ya haemorrhoids.

I think its actually in the camera settings rather than the 3D stroke settings... ill have a look next time ive got AE loaded up. scrap Cinema 4D and 3D Max... Maya is where its at ;)

Yeah, Form looks like it'll give ya mental health issues later on in life. But I though that about particular when I started with custom brush light sweeps, lol.
