From his upcoming album, here is Papa John's new single, "FreshMan."

Lyrics:

Let's see what's showing on the tube today,
A little bit of "Whose Life is it Anyway?"
Making everything up on the spot
As I jot
Down my plans on my hand,
Like the answers to a test; the plot
Is moving forward at a brisker pace
Than what I'm used to,
But if that's what I'll face,
I'll move through,
But don't expect anything to look like a new shoe,
Cause polishing is not something that I'm equipped to do,
This is just the outline, unrefined, un-honed,
Like Jack Skellington naked, this is bare-bones,
Cause, Future, I know you're there, I'd love to meet ya,
But where and when and how? I got not idea,
And yeah, I could hide, be afraid, say you're cruel,
But this isn't 2006; I'm not in middle school,
I've been a fool,
Cowering and running away,
I'm not Sir Robin, so I guess I can't flee today,
And hey! Maybe I can let this be a time that I'll treasure instead of a time that'll dread;
That's just a little thought in my head,
But it's a good one, I won't run,
Time to put the tired old demons to bed.

Isn't it wonderful to start over fresh, man?
To move away from always feeling like you're less than?
To shed the false dichotomies of worst or best man?
I've had my six days to grieve; it's time to put it to rest, man.

It's like my life just got an apartment,
I got myself a new lease, another chance to do me,
And sure, I kinda feel weird to start rent,
But I'm not going to lie to you, I don't mind paying my dues,
My mind is clear,
It's like an epiphany,
Changing my life like when Gary married Stephanie,
And then decided 5 kids wasn't enough,
Yes I feel reborn, baptized, washed clean from all the guff
That I've given, that I've gotten, that I've carried like my cross,
All the built up doubt is gone like all the plaque after I floss,
I'm the boss, it's a new day, cause I feel well again,
A new self-order, only not as Orwellian.

Isn't it wonderful to start over fresh, man?
To move away from always feeling like you're less than?
To shed the false dichotomies of worst or best man?
I've had my six days to grieve; it's time to put it to rest, man.

Exorcise,
Exorcise,
Watch me as I exorcise
These demons,
Cause I just found my new meaning,
If you want to come back here, you better have a good reason,
I haven't any craps left to give,
Cause I need 'em for this thing I'm trying where I live,
And I do it large, like my figure,
And I consider my vision to be toward the bigger picture,
Time to release all that I have been holding in,
I read my parables; to hide your talents is a sin,
And let's be honest, second place was kind of running thin,
Time to do like the little girl on Nickelodeon,
And explore,
I'm opening up my doors,
Going forth and taking charge like a conquistador,
Minus the genocide,
That we can live without,
The only thing being slaughtered here is the doubt,
That stuff is gone for good, and don't expect me to make a sequel,
I saw Transformers 2, I know that one's enough of evil,
From now on, things are gonna run proper,
Like I said before, it's Papa; you can't stop him.

Better believe that I'm starting over fresh-man,
Moving away from always feeling like I'm less than,
Shedding the false dichotomies of worst or best man,
I've had my six days to grieve; it's time to put it to rest man.
