@supersonic2012 the anime took a really depressing turn. I remember how terrible I felt after watching it the first time x( all the characters really do grow on you, and everything turns for the worse for all of them. and the way shinji goes through the instrumentality was a mindfuck.
Still one of my favourite series of all time. the ending was powerful, deep and really thought-provoking and I found it really well executed

@supersonic2012 I kinda wanted that they made some conclusion movie, not including any fights with Evas and Angels, nor with Seele and Nerv (even though I thought that bringing in modern warfare in the war between Seele&JSSDF and Nerv/UN was just brilliant idea and there should've been more of that) but would only be set to explain the fates of the characters and the post-apocalypse world. If I was in charge of remake of the series, it would have 1 fight with Angels and rest with Nerv&Seele :D

@OnlyLifeMatters true, but remember in the movie it was said that if people had the will to come back. then they could. and im sure that if shinji and asuka had the will then so should Misato, sadly they only showed shinji and asuka come back. the rest was for us to ponder.

@Zombibombi62 oh, if life could only be so simple, i honestly think that misato was one of my fav characters on Evangelion, she knew the secret to life. (drink beer, eat, and then sleep. sadly though she wouldnt excatly make the best house wife, what with her cooking XD
