  • Nice video. I've posted my own (mediocre) version on my page.

Bert Layne is also playing fiddle on this track.

  • @ivanrorick Thanks for a very good comment. I didn't know Bert Layne was playing on this record.

Well, I think your version is good !

Thank you for a good comment and listening !

    Peace Brother !

  • I love to hear Riley Puckett, he was ahead of his time and deserves more credit for his contributions in the foundation of country music. He had perfect timing on guitar and voice unlike some of his contemporaries.

  • @tricolorpicks Thanks ! Nice comment and informative !

I'm thankful and I assure you I love Riley, as much as you do !

    Peace !

I found this among my old recordings 78:s and a good friend asked for it, so I did the upload, without knowing so much about it !

  • For me this is the definitive "Old Time" version of the great May Irwin's early rag-time hit "The Bully", which dated to 1895.

  • Good music never die !

    I love it too !

    Happy New Year !

    Peace !

  • Thanks for the comment and listening.

I dont know Ed, if they are the inventors, but I agree, its good music, even by today`s standards.

Take It Easy, But Take It

    Peace !

  • Thanks for posting. I love string band music, and this group appears to be one of the original inventors. They are very good even by today's standards!
