@alacarmina As I said, Pat was just concerned. I live in the UK were Christian preachers have been criminally charged for peacefully expressing their views on a public right of way on the basis they "offended" other people.

@MrEnlighteneddespot How is this ignorant? Respectfully or at least peacefully expressing your views, is completely different from yelling profanities at or physically assaulting someone. The bill is meant to protect people from crimes based on their race or sexuality, not to take away your free speech.

Cenk is an idiot. Pat wasn't advocating for violence against certain groups, he was merely concerned that such a bill would likely curb the right for Christians or people of other faiths to speak out on issues like homosexuality or divorce as it would be deemed hatred. The ignorance of TYT blinds me sometimes.

@Elvishairdude89 Your absolutely right, I wish every nation would stick to Voltaire's wonderful statement. It bugs me even more when governments call themselves "liberal" yet are unable to tolerate the views of Bible believing Christians. Freedom of religion was something liberal philosophers fought dear for and I imagine would be horrified with such erosion of freedom of speech. Pat was only concerned that Christians would be unable to speak out on certain issues, he doesn't want violence.

@Elvishairdude89 riight. because conservatives "DIDN'T" make a reputation for being racist against immigrants or hating on gays and only electing religious morons who do nothing but keep taxes low >.> liberal haters = people who fear change or equality.

Seems like my comment has disappeared long ago. Please refresh my memory as to what that comment was?

Yep. I think a few years ago, some Muslim woman at a bar was claiming "hate crimes" because she thought the bar's dress code was too immodest and went against her religious views. Oh and then they found out she actually had nude pics on a dating site profile of hers.

Go look at England or Sweden, where people are facing jail time for "hate speech" just for having controversial views. It's what they'll be pushing for next if this gets passed.
What happened to "I hate what you have to say but will fight for your right to say it?"
America never was, and never will be, a Christian Nation.
Hell, we were pretty much founded on Pseudo Pagan Freemason Draconian belief's.
