This is a rare interview done with the King of pop rock and soul by journalist Diann Collins. The interview picture book was a gift when I traveled around the world as a Michael Jackson impersonator. Those videos I will be posting sometime in the near future. I decided to post this rare interview because you never get to hear the Michael Jackson from the early days speak and the interview was very innocent and fun.

  • this is devastating. he gave the world so much joy and through the years he became the centre of attention of various scandals. such a tragic life, but such a beautiful soul. love you michael jackson. forever in our hearts always

  • I hope Michael knew what he truly gave to people, I hate to sound chessy but I feel like a piece of me is empty without him, he really gave me a lot of happiness in my life, even when times were tough: his videos and music were an escape for me. I love hime and will miss him very much.

  • that's one of the most accurate predictions I've heard. He did move into directing and he is behind the scenes

  • is this in the 80's?? it sounds like it.

  • A GREAT MELODY WILL NEVER GET OLD

  • @bluesaway1 yeah i love the interviewer shes very sensitive of michael's feelings..thats how interviewers should be..nowadays most interviewers just ask abut other things rather than asking the artist about their art and their favorite past time you know

  • michael's voice is my fav sound in the world ....it just completely relaxes me :')

i miss him so much :'( xxx

  • I am still feeling very sad,not only because i will be no seing new videos from Michael, or interviews from him..(the only man who was never boring,,listen to his answers when being asked, he was very witty very smart)but also because of what he went through..he did not deserve the way he was treated by many people who really ridiculed him.

  • Love the shot at 0:53 - SO gorgeous!

Notice when asked if he'd be on stage at 60 - he hesitates...then goes on to say he'd like to be writing, producing and directing...helping others...behind the scenes...I think it's fair to say - the King MJ - is doing just that - he has influenced us ALL - and will do so for ever! Even in death - his dream comes true - in some shape, way or form! What an incredible guy and out of this world artist...bravo forever MJ - rest in peace and love from us all!

  • It is sad eh? The sadness and pain will ease with time...we have all lost a part of our growing up - music and dancing and lyrics - SO connected. I think at this time in his life he thought that he'd be singing at 60 and beyond...although part of him must have wondered in the last sad years - since 2003 - he looked so sad...seemed to lose that sparkle in his eyes...until recently - and the comeback concert - I wish he had gotten the chance...he'll be on state up in heaven forever now - rip MJ!
